Hoffman Farms is the largest equestrian facility in Oakland County. Somewhere around 1830, a man named Elias Doty, chose to farm this picturesque property that spans 300 acres in both Highland and Rose Townships. In 1973, Susan Briggs Fisher purchsed the property. Her father was Walter O. Briggs, the largest automobile manufacturer in the country. He was also the owner of the Tigers & Briggs stadium. In 1993, Robert Hoffman purchsed the farm.
Hoffman Farms offers year round horse boarding, both indoor and outdoor. We have a 15,000 SQ FT indoor riding arena, as well as an outdoor arena for warmer days. Our trainers operate under the name Blackstone Stables. They specialize in lessons, training and sales. Our newest edition to the property is the indoor observation room, which directly overlooks the indoor arena. Here, guests can enjoy a coffee, hot cocoa, or a glass of Michigan made wine while they stay warm and cozy while watching lessons and training. In warmer months, guests can relax on the patio and enjoy the outdoor lessons and picturesque views of the farm and pastures.
